“The gifts you have received, give as a gift.” - Matthew 10:8
There are many ways you can help and in many cases, your donation may even be tax deductible (please see your tax advisor regarding charitable contributions). Please select from the following to learn more:
Titheing is an ancient Biblical principle, called tithing, directed that 10% of what one was given should be returned back to the Lord in the form of charitable giving.
How much should I give?
Saint Kilian Parish strives to provide a wide range of ministries and services on a daily basis, supported almost exclusively by the offertory contributions of parishioners. It is understood that many demands are placed upon us all and we hope you will consider making Saint Kilian Parish the primary recipient of your charitable efforts. Tithing may even be tax deductible (please see your tax advisor regarding charitable contributions).
Please reference the chart below to determine the level of your current contributions and the level at which you might contribute to the church:
We are overjoyed to have finally completed construction and opened our new church! However, as pledges to the project could not pay the construction bills as they were incurred, we have an interest bearing construction loan left to satisfy while the pledges come to fruition. Our debt is roughly $2.5M. We are asking parishioners to consider contributions of any size (no donation is too small) to help reduce our shared debt. Thank you for your consideration!
The parish needs regular contributions to sustain a “cash flow” sufficient to pay ordinary expenses (salaries, utilities, taxes, etc.). In addition, the parish needs extraordinary contributions to fund our new parish center. We need your generosity in both areas.
- Pledges over five years encourage donors to consider more substantial commitments than are possible with one-time cash gifts.
- Donors who pledge may determine pledge remittance schedules to meet their own charitable or tax needs.
- Pledges are not legally binding.
- All gifts are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.

Every penny counts! Should you wish to make a monetary donation to our parish, please contact Father Bober at firstname.lastname@example.org or 724-625-1665 x.2106. Additionally, stocks, bonds, insurance policies, annuities, are all most acceptable as contributions to your parish. All contributions given to the ordinary collections are counted toward the Parish Share assessment for the following year. Contributions to the building fund are not counted toward that assessment. In many cases, your donation may even be tax deductible (please see your tax advisor regarding charitable contributions).

Do you own a business? If so, would you be interested in providing scholarships and financial aid to Saint Kilian students if there were little or no cost to your company? If your answer is "Yes," put your Pennsylvania tax liability dollars to work for our school through Pennsylvania's Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program.
The EITC program allows the business community to support private school education. You have the ability to divert your state tax dollars to support our school. The money you are obligated to pay in state taxes can go directly to provide student scholarships and financial aid to students who otherwise could not afford to attend Saint Kilian Parish School.
You determine or otherwise estimate your state tax liability. Through the EITC program your company can apply to receive tax credits equal to 75% of the amount of your contribution per taxable year. The tax credit can be increased to 90% of the contribution, if your business agrees to provide the same amount for two consecutive tax years. In addition, you can claim a charitable deduction for the difference between the tax credit amount and the gift. The tax credits can then be designated for receipt by Saint Kilian Parish School and go directly to helping our own students. For example: If you donate $5,000 to Saint Kilian each year for two years, you receive a tax credit of $4,500 per year, plus the ability to claim $500 per year as a charitable deduction. The $10,000 donation to Saint Kilian becomes a $10,000 scholarship for our students and in the end, will cost you almost $0.
You are eligible to participate in the program if your business is licensed to operate in Pennsylvania and is subject to one or more of the following taxes:
Please consider the value you place on providing a catholic education for your children. As a business owner, you are in the unique position of being able to help other families provide that same opportunity for their own children. Within our Saint Kilian community, there are families who are experiencing financial challenges due to job loss or illness and others who simply cannot afford the rising cost of catholic education for their children. Your generosity will make a significant difference in the lives of our students at Saint Kilian Parish.
The application process is simple and quick: You or your company representative can set up an account and completer the application. This simple electronic application is only two pages, with the first page comprised of applicant information and the second page containing five questions about your contribution. Simply submit your application for consideration.
